Grillz in Paris 3rd – Haut Marais

The Haut Marais, the quieter northern half of the 3rd arrondissement, has become one of the city's key streetwear strips over the past decade. Independent sneaker shops and small gold jewellers now share Rue de Charlot and Rue de Poitou with the Carreau du Temple, a 19th-century iron-and-glass market hall rebuilt as a sports and culture venue that regularly hosts fashion presentations and basketball events. This is a district that already has a grillz-adjacent crowd — the same clients who buy limited sneakers and custom chains on a Saturday are exactly the ones who come to us for a gold or diamond-set piece.

Rue de Bretagne still runs a proper daily market, the Marché des Enfants Rouges being Paris's oldest covered market just a few steps away, and the contrast between that old-Paris food culture and the newer concept stores around it gives the Haut Marais its particular energy. République, at the arrondissement's eastern edge, pulls in a much larger and younger crowd on weekend nights, spilling over from Oberkampf, and we often get enquiries from groups of friends planning a joint booking after seeing a piece on someone at a bar there.

Because so much of the area's identity is bound up with independent fashion and jewellery retail, clients here are usually already familiar with grillz as a product before they contact us, and tend to ask more technical questions about karat and stone setting than in other districts. We generally arrange the mould appointment either at a quiet spot near Arts et Métiers or as a home visit, since the boutiques themselves have no room for a proper casting session.

Questions from Haut Marais

Do you work with the shops around Rue de Charlot?

We don't partner with any specific shop — every enquiry comes through our own booking form, but we're very used to clients who shop that strip and know exactly what finish they want.

Can a group of us book together after seeing a piece at Carreau du Temple?

Yes, group bookings are common here; each person still needs their own mould appointment, but we can schedule them back to back.

Is stone-set grillz popular in this neighbourhood?

Yes — a good share of Haut Marais orders include moissanite or lab diamonds rather than plain metal, which fits the area's taste for statement jewellery.
